Democratic Women’s Club of Walton County: Active Summer Agenda

The Democratic Women’s Club of Walton County has two summer events planned and non-club members are invited!  On Tuesday, July 19 from 4:30-6:30 pm we will have a meet and greet at Eden Gardens State Park. We will be discussing the upcoming primary elections and we will have a special guest speaker, Linda White of Sundog Books.  Please bring a potluck dish to pass, along with diapers and wipes to benefit the Joanne Birge Center for addicted mothers and their children in Defuniak Springs.

On Tuesday, August 9 from 6-7 pm we will have a zoom meeting with featured speaker Emily Gray, an LGBTQ activist from Panama City, who will be speaking on the impact of the Don’t Say Gay Bill on the LGBTQ population. Please contact Sue Bowden, club president, at for the zoom link closer to the time.

The Democratic Women’s Club is also planning responses to the Supreme Court’s ruling against Roe v. Wade. If you  would like to be a part of our group’s response supporting a woman’s right to choose, please contact Sue Bowden at the above email address.
